Adam Anderson

Adam Anderson is an Eastern Connecticut native. Playing music from a very young age, he recalls hearing his father play chords in the living room piano and followed that inspiration. Starting on the alto saxophone at age eight, he subsequently followed the study of music across many instruments. Landing on his love of bass in his early 20's, he has chosen to primarily focus on the bass—both electric and upright, as his principal instrument. He serves as both a band leader for his own group as well as an accompanist with a wide variety of musicians accross Connecticut and the Northeast. Adam has helped to reinforce a communal goal for building a strong local culture focusing on live musical performance.

Jan Jungden

Jan Jungden developed her R & B roots with the eclectic group "Jake & the Family Jewels", touting the northeast playing clubs including the Bottom Line and Toad's Place in New Haven. Jan has played solo piano up and down the Connecticut shoreline and when not playing with Scott Gordley's Funk House! she plays jazz with the Jan Jungden Trio and the Subliminals, Salsa with the Latin group Benetu and funk with the Fuse Band.

Jan's keyboard versatility keeps things interesting, whether funking out on the clavinet or burning up a solo on piano or organ. If that isn't spectacular enough, she continually surprises audiences by soaring on the flute à la Herbie Mann. Her flute solos are dynamic. Jan has released two albums of primarily original tunes—"Smooth Ride" by the Jan Jungden Trio and "Light it Up" by the Fuse Funk Band. She recently released a new single, "FUnk 2020" which lays down a heavy groove as well as wild synthesizer work. Jan has a B.S. from UConn and studied jazz at the University of Bridgeport.
